Christmas Tepee Card - Heartwarming Hugs Gift Wrapped

Hi Everyone,

Today I am taking part in the InspireInk Blog Hop and the theme is 'Fancy Fold'. I have made a Christmas Tepee card for you using the lovely Heartwarming Hugs dsp teamed with silver foil.  I've made this style of card several times before and there is a link to a previous version and the YouTube view tutorial below:

Materials

3 pieces of card stock 5" square (Real Red)
2 piece of silver foil 4 5/8" square and 1 piece 1 3/4" square
1 piece of whisper white card 4 1/8" square and 2" circle
2 pieces of dsp 4 1/8" square (Heartwarming Hugs)
Scraps whisper white, real red and silver foil card for the decoration
Velcro dot
Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set
Painted Label dies
Gift Wrapped stamp set
Real red ink
Memento Black ink
Bow punch
2" circle punch
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals
Paper trimmer
Die cutting machine

Instructions

Score all three pieces of square card stock on the diagonal either in your trimmer or on your score board and fold and burnish all the scorelines.

Cut the dsp squares and the whisper white square on the diagonal.

Lay one square on your table with the diagonal score running top to bottom.  The other two squares will be tucked behind this square (see picture) and glued in place.  Be careful to get the cut edge of the diagonal piece right up to the score line of the piece tucked behind it.  When you have done that, your card should look like this

Flip the card over and lay down the foil and dsp, you can replace the dsp on one of the back sections with a whisper white tgriangle to write your message (the dimensions are the same as for the dsp).

Fold the card into its shape and add a Velcro dot inside the back flap to adhere them both together.  Open this Velcro dot to fold the card flat to go into the envelope for posting.

Open the card out and lay flat on the table.  In order to make sure it fits in the envelope, make sure the decoration only goes over the right hand whisper white section and doesn't fall outside the straight left hand edge.

I have die cut the swirl from the Painted Labels set in silver foil and stamped a sentiment from Itty Bitty Christmas onto the 2" whisper white circle and added it to the centre of the swirl.  Then I stamped one of the bows using memento ink onto real red card and then punched it out with the Bow punch.  I've added a few rhinestones and then added the swirl to the centre of the front section and put the box on the side of it, see picture below.

I hope that you like this card and will give it a try. This is a slightly smaller one made with 4" squares and I have used the Poinsettia Petals stamp set and fussy cut the flower and leaf.
