Touches of Ink Blog Hop

Hi Everyone,

Today I am hopping with the lovely Touches of Ink group and I have chosen to use my favourite bundle from the January - June Mini Catalogue - Daffodil Daydreams, I just love it. We also have some designer series papers in the Saleabration promotion which co-ordinate with it - Daffodil Afternoon, so I have combined it all and made a very early Mother's Day card. I hope that you like it. Let me show you how I made it.

Materials

1 piece of thick very vanilla card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4"
1 piece of dsp 3 1/4" x 4 1/4" (Daffodil Afternoon)
Scrap of very vanilla for the sentiment and a piece to stamp the flowers
Daffodil Daydream stamp set
Daffodil Dies
Stampin Cut and Emboss Machine
Stitched So Sweetly Dies
Crushed Curry ink
Memento Black ink
Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends
Old Olive Stampin' Blends
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals
Trimmer
Simply Scored
Bone Folder

Instructions

On the long side score the thick very vanilla at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make the card base.

Stamp the long trellis pattern using crushed curry ink top, bottom and sides on the front and top and bottom on the inside of the card.

Die cut the largest rectangle from the dsp and the second smallest from the scrap of very vanilla. Stamp the sentiment in crushed curry on the vanilla rectangle.

Stamp the daffodil image on the very vanilla card and then colour with the Stampin' Blends and then die cut the image.

Add the dsp to the card front using dimensionals. Adhere the stamped image in the centre of the dsp and then add the sentiment over the top of the stems using dimensionals.

This is a quick card to make but I think it looks very effective with the trellis border on the card front framing the dsp and the floral image. Very early for a Mother's Day card but the only other one in the set is an Easter one.
