Gingerbread House Christmas Gift Tags

 Hi Everyone,

I was watching a US Demonstrator (Erica Cerwin- Pink Buckaroo) recently and she used the Coming Home stamp set to make some gingerbread houses. Why did I not think of that? Anyway, I thought it was a cute idea so I thought I would make some Christmas gift tags with the houses that I made. Let me show you how.

Materials

Scraps of thick  whisper white card for the tag bases
Scraps of soft suede card for the houses
Coming Home stamp set
Paper snips
Versamark ink
White embossing powder
Heat tool
Real red ink
Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set
Scraps of Trimming the Town ssp
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals
Trimmer
Delightful Tag Topper punch
Triple Banner punch
Real red ribbon
Hole punch (my stash)

Instructions

On some scraps of soft suede card, I stamped the house, tree and car images using Versamark ink.  Then I sprinkled with white embossing powder and set it with the heat tool.

I then fussy cut the images and put to one side.

Cut some strips of  thick whisper white into pieces approximately 2" wide by 4 1/2" long.  I used both the triple banner punch and the detailed tag topper punch for a variety of shapes and punched the strips.  Those where I used the banner punch, I had to punch a hole in the other end for the ribbon.

Then I layered some of the smaller houses over the top of the larger ones to look like porches and attached them with mini dimensionals to build up some layers. I also added trees to some of them too.  Arrange them on the tag to see what they look like but before sticking them down, stamp the sentiment using real red ink at the top.

Then adhere the houses and trees, either with glue or dimensionals, whichever you prefer. I also fussy cut some of the tiny wreaths from the dsp and added those to some of the houses.

Add ribbon to the top and the tag is complete.  You could do lots of these quite quickly and easily. I think they look very cute and would be great on some Christmas treats.

I hope that you like them and will give them a try.
