Crafty Collaborations Curvy Celebrations Blog Hop

 Hi Everyone,

Today I have made a cute card with the Curvy Celebrations Suite and have stamped my own design on the card front using Gorgeous Posies - my favourite stamp set of the moment, I just love it.  Let me show you how I made it.  Please click on the link below to visit all the other projects in the hop, you are bound to get some great ideas and inspiration.

Materials

1 piece of thick whisper white card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4"
Scraps of whisper white and rococco rose card stock to make the curves
Gorgeous Posies stamp set
Quite Curvy stamp set
Stampin Cut and Emboss machine
Curvy dies
Rococco rose ink
Basic grey ink
Multipurpose adhesive
Trimmer
Simply scored
Bone folder

Instructions

On the long side score the thick whisper white at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make the card base.

Stamp a random design on the card front, this can be as little or as much as you like, I wanted to see lots of whisper white as well so not added much to the flowers, but it's your design just go for it.

When I first got these Curvy Dies, I played with them for a while and cut out lots of different strips and these two are some that I had left, so I am basically just using up scraps. The curve can be as large or as narrow as you like. My rococco rose one is approximately 1 1/2" at its widest point, the whisper white one is about 1/2".

I have adhered the rococco rose strip so that it butts up to the bottom of the card and then laid the whisper white strip following the curve.

I then stamped the small sentiment under the white curve and I have stamped on the inside of the card too.

This is a really simple card to make, gives you some practice making your own backgrounds and uses up leftover curved die cuts - give it a try.
