InspireINK Favourite Project of This Year

Hi Everyone,

I'm hopping today with the InspireINK group and we are showcasing our favourite projects from this year.  I've chosen this project for several reasons:

  1. I love  it when we get new in colours to play with and they always come with the matching card stock and dsp
  2. This year has been such an anxious and stressful time for all of us, that I have sent out lots of cards, just to try to cheer people up and these were perfect for that.
  3. They have butterflies on them - I love butterflies
Let me show you how I made them, I used all of the colours so made a set of 5 cards.

Materials

5 whisper white card bases 5 7/8" x 8 1/4" folded in half
1 piece of card stock in each of the 5 colours 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"
1 piece of dsp in each of the 5 colours (In Colour paper stack) 2" x 5 5/8"
1 piece of ribbon in each of the 5 colours approx 6"
Scraps of all of the in colour card stock to punch out the butterflies

Instructions

This is a really simple card to make in batches if you prepare everything in advance.

Adhere the strip of dsp to the matching coloured card front at the left hand side butting up all of the edges.

Add the strip of ribbon to cover the where the dsp ends on the front and tape down on the back of the card.  Adhere this piece to the card front leaving a small border all the way around.

Die cut the 5 rectangles using the third largest scalloped rectangle and stamp the sentiment using the basic grey ink towards the bottom of the rectangle. I've also stamped a sentiment on the inside of the card.

Stamp out one of the pairs of butterflies on each of the coloured scraps of card using Versamark ink. Sprinkle clear embossing powder over the stamping and then heat set and leave to cool for a couple of minutes.

Punch out the butterflies with the punch and adhere them to the sentiment rectangle and then bend up the wings slightly.

Add this layer to the centre of the card front using dimensionals.

There you are a set of 5 cards to have on hand for when you need them or to give as a gift, you can always change the sentiment and put a different one on each card.
