Hi Everyone,
I've been playing with a new set that is coming out in the January - June 2021 Mini Catalogue which is available during October to Demonstrators as a pre-order item and also available from early November for customers. It's lovely to get a sneaky peek of what is coming up in the future.
Materials
1 piece of shaded spruce card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4"
1 piece of Classic Christmas dsp 3 7/8" x 5 5/8" (from the Curvy Celebrations Bundle)
2 pieces of whisper white card stock 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"
Shaded spruce ink
Quite Curvy stamp set
Curvy dies
Stampin Cut and Emboss machine
Trimmer
Simply scored
Bone folder
Multipurpose adhesive
Instructions
On the long side, score the shaded spruce card at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make the card base (landscape).
Adhere the dsp layer to the card front leaving a border all around the edges.
I would advise that you have a play with the dies just to get used to how they cut and can fit together. I wasted a few pieces of card stock at first just by not planning out which way everything needed to go.
From one of the whisper white pieces, I cut the curve with the leaves from one side of it and the one with the holes from the other side. I then used the piece left to stamp the leaves and then cut them out too.
The die with the leaves gives you lots of tiny leaves which could be paper pieced back into the die cut if you wanted, but I left mine so that the dsp underneath showed through.
Adhere the two curvy pieces in place so that the straight edges match up with the edges of the dsp, one at the top and one at the bottom. Then adhere the leaf swag in the centre of the card between the two curves. Stamp the small sentiment on the bottom left of the lower curve.
Stamp one of the sentiments on the remaining piece of whisper white and adhere on the inside of the card. I have also used a 1/2" strip of the dsp that I had left over when I cut the front.
There you go, card done, I hope that you like it. The Quite Curvy bundle is really nice and once you get the hang of the curves, it's great to work with and you can produce all sorts of lovely cards.
