Crafty Blog Hops - World Card making Day - My Corner of the World

 Hi Everyone,

Today I am hopping with the Crafty Blog Hop Group and the theme is 'Your Corner of the World'.  I live in Bolton in the North West of the UK and as I look out of my kitchen window, we are just going into autumn, the leaves are beginning to turn yellow and orange and they are falling from the trees. My husband has built a bird table and we have bought new bird feeders for the winter to make sure our garden visitors (including the squirrel) don't go hungry.  I decided to try and brighten up my card a bit with some copper foil to bring a warm, comforting glow.  It's a quick and simple card but let me show you how I made it.

Materials

1 piece of early espresso card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4"
1 piece of copper foil 4" x 5 3/4"
2 pieces of whisper white, 1 x 3 5/8" x 5 3/8" and 1 x 3 7/8 x 5 5/8" (for the inside)
Life is Beautiful stamp set
Terracotta tile ink
Early espresso ink
Multipurpose adhesive
Trimmer
Simply Scored
Bone Folder

Instructions

Score the early espresso card on the long side at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make the card base.

Add the copper foil layer leaving a small border around the edges.

Stamp the tree in early espresso and add the bird house and the shadows around the base.

Add the leaves using the terracotta tile ink, I've added a few so it looks like they are falling.

Stamp the sentiment on this layer and also decorate the inside layer if required.

Adhere the inside layer and then add the stamped layer to the copper foil layer, be careful that you don't smudge and get any adhesive on the foil, it's really hard to get off.

There you are a quick and simple card, what's it like in your corner of the world? Pop over and see what the rest of my crafty colleagues have made too.
