Quiet Meadow Sympathy Card - Crafty Collaborations - Heat Embossing

 Hi Everyone,

Today I am hopping with the lovely Crafty Collaborations Group and the theme is 'Heat Embossing'. I decided to use the Quiet Meadow stamp set with the Scalloped Contour dies to make a sympathy card. Thankfully, they are not the sort of cards that I have to make very often but the sentiments and images in this set are perfect for such an occasion. Let me show you what I did:

Materials

1 piece of grey granite card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4"
2 pieces of petal pink card 4" x 5 1/4" and scrap for sentiment
2 pieces of basic white card 3 1/4" x 4 3/4" and scrap for sentiment
Versamark ink
Metallics Embossing Powder
Heat Tool
Quiet Meadow stamp set
Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine
Scalloped Contour dies
Multipurpose adhesive
Double Oval Punch
Dimensionals
Trimmer
Simply scored
Bone folder

Instructions

On the long side score the grey granite card at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make the card base.

Die cut two of the largest scalloped rectangles in petal pink and two of the next size down in basic white.

On one of the white layers, stamp the large floral image in Versamark and on the other, the sentiment for the inside and the sentiment for the front on the scrap of white card. Sprinkle all three images with gold embossing powder and set them with the Heat Tool.

Layer both white rectangles onto a larger petal pink one using multipurpose adhesive and then add the floral image to the card front and the sentiment to the inside.

Punch out the small sentiment with the straight edged oval and the scalloped one in petal pink. Layer the two together and add to the card front using dimensionals.

I do hope that you like my card.
