Hi Everyone,
I'm very excited to be joining the Touches of Ink Blog Hop for the very first time this month and the theme is 'Fall/Halloween'. I don't really celebrate Halloween now that my grandchildren have grown up so I decided to go with the Fall/Autumn theme for my card using the fabulous Gorgeous Leaves stamp set and the Intricate Leaves dies which comes as a bundle in the Current Mini Catalogue. As this bundle has no sentiments, I added those from the Ornate Thanks stamp set.
Materials
1 piece of thick basic white card 5 7/8" x 8 1/4"
1 piece of copper foil 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"
1 piece of soft suede card 3 1/2" x 5 1/4"
Scraps of copper foil, basic white and soft sued for the decoration
Gorgeous Leaves stamp set
Intricate Leaves dies
Stampin' Cut and Emboss machine
Ornate Thanks stamp set
Early Espresso ink

Simply Scored
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals
Instructions
On the long side score the thick white card at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make a tent fold card.
Stamp the small leaves all around the edge of the front of the card using early espresso ink to give a border. On the inside, stamp two of the large leaves (stamp off once) and then add a sentiment from the Ornate Thanks set too.
On the soft suede mat, using the large 'splodge' stamp, stamp all over this piece which will leave a mottled background. Over the top of that, stamp the large leaves, also in early espresso, changing the direction of the stamping to make it look like falling leaves.
Stamp the sentiment on a scrap of basic white with early espresso and then cut around it, add to a scrap of soft suede cut slightly larger, with dimensionals.
Die cut a selection of leaves using the copper foil.
Add the foil mat layer to the card front leaving the stamped border showing all around it. Add the soft suede mat on top with dimensionals. Add the sentiment, again on dimensionals and then tuck in the leaves all around it to decorate the front and bring a lovely, copper glow to the card,
I do hope that you like my card.
