Peaceful Place Picture Card - Ink, Stamp, Share Blog Hop

 Hi Everyone,

Today I am making Christmas cards using the beautiful Peaceful Place designer series papers, I just love the monochrome feel to it and the gentle greys and silver, it makes very pretty cards. I made one of these for my Christmas Craft kits recently and I loved it so much, I'm  going to recreate it and make several for a craft fair that I am going to on Saturday.  Let me show you how I made it:

Materials

1 piece of basic grey card stock 5 7/8" x 11 1/2"
1 piece of dsp 5 1/2" square, 1 piece 4" square, 1 strip 1/4" x 5 1/2"
1 piece of silver foil card 5 5/8" square, 1 piece 1" x 4"
1 piece of basic white card 5 1/2" square
Poinsettia Petals stamp set
Versamark
Silver embossing powder
Heat Tool
Basic grey ink
Trimmer
Layering circle dies
Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine
Dimensionals
Multipurpose adhesive
Simply scored
Bone folder

Instructions

On the long side, score the basic grey card at 5 3/4" and fold and burnish to make the card base.

Die cut a frame from the centre of the silver foil card using two close together in size, I've used circles but you could use square or rectangles if you want to. This saves on foil card as we are layering over the top of that so no-one will know there is a hole cut out of it. My frame is approx 4" wide.

Adhere the the large piece of dsp on top of the foil layer and then add to the card front.

Cut the smaller dsp to the same shape as the largest die cut you used and then add the frame to the front of it, framing the image.  Add this to the card front on dimensionals.

Stamp a sentiment on the strip of basic white using Versamark and then sprinkle with silver embossing powder and set with the Heat Tool. Cut the edges of the strip on the diagonal and then layer up on a piece of silver foil, trimming the ends to match. Add to the card front below the image.

Stamp a sentiment on the remaining basic white layer (you could use Versamark for this too, I have used Basic Grey. Add the strip of dsp to the side of this piece and then add to the inside of the card.

I hope you like my pretty card and will give it a try.  Please pop over and see what everyone else has been making too, you are sure to be inspired, I always am.
