Hi Everyone,
Today we are making fun fold cards and I've chosen this Swing Front card (not sure if that's the correct name) using Blackberry Beauty and Forever Fern stamp set. Blackberry Bliss is a lovely colour and I don't use it enough and I've not used up much of this dsp so far, I need to stop hoarding it and cut it up!
Materials
1 piece of blackberry bliss card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4"
1 piece of basic white card stock 5 5/8" x 8" and a scrap for the sentiment
1 piece of Blackberry Beauty dsp 4" x 5 5/8"
Scrap of gold foil for the sentiment
Double Oval Punch
Forever Fern stamp set
Blackberry Bliss ink
Scrap of gold Simply Elegant Trim
Stitched Rectangle dies
Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine
Trimmer
Simply Scored
Bone Folder
Multipurpose adhesive
Mini glue dots
Instructions
On the long side of the blackberry bliss, score at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make the card base.
On the long side, score the white card at 2", 4" and 6", fold and burnish to make the mechanism. The 6" score line should be a valley and all of the rest are mountain folds.
Adhere the dsp to the card front, decide how big an opening you want there and die cut the rectangle from the card front through both layers of dsp and card.
Stamp a sentiment or an image on the end piece of the white which is the valley fold and will be adhered inside the card on the right hand side (see picture).
Adhere this in place leaving a small border as shown. Then fold the card insides flat and add glue around the inside of the opening on the card front so that when the card is folded shut, the card front will attach to the inside white section (see picture).

Fit the die cut piece back into the opening on the front but only adhere on the right hand side so that the image swings when the card is opened (see picture).
Stamp a sentiment on a scrap of white using blackberry bliss ink and then punch out, punch out a larger oval with the gold foil and layer them up and add to the card front on the cut out swing section. Tie a bow with the trim and add to the sentiment with a glue dot.
I hope that you like my card and will give it a try. Pleas pop over and see what Donna and Victoria have made too.
