A Trio of Whimsy & Wonder Present Cards

Hi Everyone,

Today I have changed up the card I shared recently with the presents on it. I've made a set of three, a 5" x 5" card, a 4" x 4" and a 3" x 3" gift card - I had some premade ones in my stash from the local Hobby Shop and I want to use them up for my craft fairs (I will give you the measurements to make your own). I'm still using up scraps and I thought I would add some background stamping from the Penguin Place stamp set too. Let me show you what I did:

Materials

1 piece of thick basic white card 5" x 10", 4" x 8", 3" x 6"
1 piece of coloured card 3 1/8" square, 2 1/8" square and 1 5/8" square
Strip 1/8" x 3 1/8", 1/8" x 2 1/8", 1/8" x 1 5/8"
Scraps for the tag and the bow
1 piece of dsp 3" square, 2" square, 1 1/2" square
Stampin Cut & Emboss Machine
Pierced Blooms dies
Delicate Baubles dies
Pretty Pillow Box dies
Penguin Place stamp set
Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set (retired for the gift tag)
Mint macaron ink
Polished Pink ink
Trimmer
Simply scored
Multipurpose adhesive
Bone folder

Instructions for all 3 sizes

On the long side score the white card in half and fold and burnish to make a square card.

Randomly stamp the stars from Penguin Place all over the card front using mint macaron ink for the largest one. For the middle one I have added a few single stars around the gift.

Adhere the dsp to the square of coloured card and add to the centre of the card front.  Add the strip of card in the middle of the parcel (supposed to represent the ribbon).

Die cut the tag and the bow from the same colour as the mat for the parcel or a co-ordinating colour, it's up to you. For the gift tag, I have used the bow from the Detailed Baubles and cut the string off it and used that for the strip of card on the parcel itself.

Stamp a sentiment on the bottom of the tag and adhere so that it looks like its coming from the top of the ribbon and then adhere the bow over the top.

Stamp some more stars on the inside of the cards and a To and From on the inside of the gift tag, if you have one. I only had one in a retired set.

Remember, you can use any colour, any dsp, you could dry emboss card for the presents, anything you like, the possibilities are endless. I do hope that you will give it a try.
