Hi Everyone,
I made this card for the latest colour challenge on my friend Victoria's Blog, the colours are
Materials
1 piece of so saffron card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4"
1 piece of gold foil card 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"
1 piece of early espresso card 3 5/8" x 5 3/8"
1 piece of basic white card 3 7/8" x 5 5/8", 4" square piece for the stamping
Mint macaron ink
Shaded Summer stamp set
Pretty Flowers embossing folder
Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine
Circle dies
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals
Trimmer
Bone folder
Instructions
On the long side score the so saffron card at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make the card base.
Using the circle dies, cut a frame from the centre of the gold foil approx 3 1/2" diameter (outside measurement) and then cut a circle from the white card that is the same size as the outer circle die.
Run the early espresso card through the machine in the Pretty Flowers embossing folder.
Add the remaining gold foil piece to the card front and layer up the embossed layer on top which will cover up the hole that you cut in it.
Stamp the large floral image in mint macaron on the white circle and add a small sentiment. Stamp the image again on the white card for the inside and adhere that one in place.
Add the foil circle frame around the edge of the stamped circle and add to the centre of the card front on dimensionals.
Why don't you try a card with this colour combination and upload it to Victoria's blog post (address is above). Have a look what next weeks colours will be on Monday and give that a try too, it's good fun and pushes you out of your comfort zone.
