Butterfly Bouquet Joy Fold Card - Crafty Collaborations Blog Hop

 Hi Everyone,

Today I am taking part in a Blog Hop with the Crafty Collaborations Group and we are showcasing the fabulous new Butterfly Bouquet Suite of products which is an early release from the upcoming Annual Catalogue. I have made a joy fold card which is one of my favourite fun folds for showing off beautiful designer series papers. Let me show you how I made it.

Materials

1 piece of basic black card 5 3/4" x 8 3/4", 1 piece 4" x 8"
1 piece of dsp 5 5/8" square for the back layer, 2 pieces of contrasting dsp 2 3/4" x 5 5/8" and 1 piece 3 7/8" square
1 piece of basic white 3 7/8" square and 1 piece 3" square
3 large butterflies cut from the dsp and 1 small
Trimmer
Simply scored
Bone folder
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals
Paper snips
Pretty Perennials stamp set
Magenta Madness ink
Matte black dots
Paper snips

Instructions

On the long side, score the larger piece of black card at 5 3/4" and the smaller one at 4" and then fold and burnish both to make the two card bases.

Adhere the largest piece of dsp to the base of the larger card and then adhere the contrasting pieces of dsp to either side of the flap front leaving a tiny border all around the edges.

Adhere the smaller contrasting square to the front of the smaller card remembering that this one will open the opposite way to the larger one.

Add adhesive to the back of the smaller card and position it so that the back is attached to the base of the card and folds over the flap on the front and sits centrally on the card.

Add the larger white square to the inside of the small card - this is to write your greeting.

Stamp the sentiment on the other piece of white and adhere that to the centre of the front of the small card.

Fussy cut three large butterflies and 1 small one from the dsp, adhere the largest one on the inside flap of the small card and arrange with others on the card front using dimensionals.  Add some matte black dots to the bodies of the butterflies on the card front for decoration.

Remember that the dsp is only available for a relatively short period but the stamp set and dies will be available in the new Annual Catalogue.
