Snail Mail Card - Share it on a Sunday Sketch Challenge

 Hi Everyone,

For this week's Share it on a Sunday the theme was a sketch challenge and I have chosen to use the very cute Snail Mail Suite for my card.  Sketches are a great way of giving your crafty mojo a bit of a kick start if you are stuck for some ideas on layouts. Here is the sketch that we are using. Remember that this doesn't have to be copied exactly, its just an idea and can be open to interpretation in any way you like.

Materials

1 piece of pool party card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1 /4" and a scrap for the sentiment
1 piece of basic white 3 7/8" x 5 5/8" and a scrap for the sentiment
1 piece of Snail Mail dsp 4" x 5 5/8"
3 pieces of  a contrasting Snail Mail dsp 1 5/8" x 3 3/4"
Bermuda Bay ink
Snailed It stamp set
Postage Stamp punch
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals
Trimmer
Simply scored
Bone folder
Paper snips

Instructions

On the long side, score the bermuda bay card at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make a portrait card base.

Adhere the large piece of dsp to the card front leaving equal borders all around.

Adhere the 3 smaller pieces leaves equal borders around and between them all.

Stamp the sentiment and the speech bubble on a scrap of basic white and add the 'hello' to the centre of the speech bubble. (You could also cut one out of the dsp if you wanted to.) Punch the sentiment out with the postage stamp punch and fussy cut the speech bubble.

Add the white layer to the scrap of pool party and cut around it leaving a small border and then fix to the card front with dimensionals making sure that there is room to add the speech bubble coming out of the snails mouth.

I've stamped the cute little mushrooms on the remaining basic white using bermuda bay ink and then adhered to the inside of the card.

There you are a quick and easy card, I hope that you like it. Don't forget to pop over and see what Donna and Victoria have made using the same sketch.
