Hi Everyone,
Today I have gathered some of the bits and pieces lying about on my desk and made a card with them. I don't know about you, but I always have extra die cuts and bits of card and dsp lying about so I thought today I would put them together and make a card out of them. Let me show you what I did:
Materials
1 piece of pear pizzazz card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4"
1 piece of garden green card stock 4" x 5 3/4" and 1 piece 2" x 4" (approx)
1 piece of basic white 3 7/8" x 5 5/8" and a scrap for the sentiment (art gallery dies)
1 piece of dsp 3 7/8" x 5 5/8" and 1 contrasting strip 1 1/2" x 5 5/8" and a small scrap for the flowers
Gold foil leaf die cut from Forever Flourishing
Small bloom punch
Detailed Tag Topper punch
Basic pearls
Scrap of Fine Art ribbon
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals
Mini glue dots
Trimmer
Simply scored
Bone folder
Instructions
On the long side score the pear pizzazz at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make a portrait card base. (I have card bases cut in lots of different colours ready to go.)
Adhere the garden green mat and then the largest dsp mat to the card front leaving a small border around each layer. Add the strip of contrasting dsp to the right hand side of the other dsp butting it right up to the right hand edge.
Punch a tag out of the smaller piece of garden green with the detailed tag topper punch and add the ribbon to the top, tied in a knot. Fix this to the card front using dimensionals on an angle across the two different dsp layers.
Add the foil leaf to the tag.
Punch out two flowers with the small bloom punch and fix to the tag with mini glue dots. Add a pearl to the centre of each.
I had a small sentiment label from the Art Gallery dies so I have stamped a sentiment on it from the Art Gallery stamp set using garden green ink and attached across the tag using mini dimensionals.
Adhere the remaining basic white mat to the inside of the card.
A quick and easy card using bits and pieces from my desk - what don't you have a go and see what you can make from the scraps on your desk.

That’s brilliant Karen! I’m sure if I picked up the bits on my desk it would look like a dog’s dinner. Great card.
