Peony Garden Customer Treat Box

 Hi Everyone,

Today's project is my Customer Thank You gift for December, just a little chocolate treat (a Mint Aero Treat Bar) to let my customers know that I appreciate them. I've used the Peony Garden designer series paper and the Many Mates stamp set, this project is a great scrap buster, it only takes a small amount of dsp so it's great for using up all those bits.

I've entered my project in Kylie Bertcucci'e Monthly International Blog Highlights Gallery and I would be really grateful if you could click on the link below to vote for me.  If I manage to get into the top 10, I will be able to join a Blog Hop with Demonstrators from all over the world, I just missed out last month, I came 11th so please wish me luck.

Many Mates stamp set
Basic Grey ink
Basic pearls
Petal pink organdie ribbon approx 24"
Multipurpose adhesive
Mini dimensionals
Mini glue dots

Simply scored
Bone folder

Instructions

I know that the box lid sizes are a bit tricky but that additional 1/16" makes all the difference and makes sure that the box lid fits nicely.

Score both pieces of card stock at 3/4" on all four sides, fold and burnish the score lines.

Cut up the two vertical score lines on the short ends and notch into the squares to make tabs.

Add adhesive to the outside of the tabs and bring the fold lines in to meet the cut lines on the straight rectangular sections to make the corners.  Make the base first and then when making the lid, glue one end and then fit the lid to the box and then add the glue to the tabs and fold in to get a nice fit to the box.

Add the chocolate treat and close the box and then add the dsp to the box lid, there will be a tiny border all the way around the edge.

Stamp your sentiment on the scrap of petal pink card with the basic grey ink and then die cut using the 2nd smallest stitched, scalloped  rectangle die.

Wrap a piece of ribbon around the longest part of the box and secure the two ends on the top with mini glue dots.

Add the sentiment over the top of this join using mini dimensionals top and bottom so that the dimensionals are above and below the ribbon, holding it in place.

Tie a smaller piece of ribbon around the box to cross over the first and tie in a know and trim the ends.

Add a couple of pearls to the sentiment and job done.  You could make lots of these very quickly and use up lots of scraps to make each one individual or cut up a whole sheet of dsp and make lots all the same, it's up to you. I'm going to make mine all different and use up my scraps.
