Poinsettia Christmas Tree Decoration - Stamp Around UK Video Hop

 Hi Everyone,

Todays project is one that I made for a video hop that I was taking part in with the Stamp Around UK Group.  The theme was shiny and sparkly so instead of a card, I thought I would make a decoration for my tree.  They are quick and simple to make, let me show you how I made it.  Click on the link below to see the video tutorial over on my YouTube channel.

Materials

2 die cut circles approx 3 1/2" using silver foil paper
2 sets of 3 sizes of poinsettia petals using red foil paper
2 wreaths using green foil paper
Approx 6" real red ribbon
Basic rhinestones
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals
Wreath Builder dies
Poinsettia dies
Layering Circle dies
Stampin Cut and Emboss machine
Red Line tape/tear and tape

Instructions

Die cut all of the bits and  pieces that you want to use, I always do extra ones to play about with, so you could add in leaves and sprigs and make it as full and blingy as you want. It's your decoration, your design.

Arrange the wreath on the foil circle and adhere in place on both circles.

Build up the flower, curling the petals to give them some shape and dimension.  Add each layer with a dimensional to give some depth to the flower.  Add a complete flower in the centre of each wreath using dimensionals.

Add a couple of small strips of either red line or tear and tape to the back of one of the circles and add your ribbon folded over to make a loop.

Adhere the two circles together and then add some bling to the flower centres with the rhinestones and its done.  A quick and simple tree decoration, why don't you give it a try, I'd love to see what you make.  I also made one using balmy blue glimmer paper as you can see from the picture above.
