Fun Fold Friday - #16 Dino Days Wiper Card

Hi Everyone,

Today for Fun Fold Friday, I have made a Wiper Card using the very cute Dino Days stamp set and designer series paper.

There is a video tutorial over on my YouTube channel, click the link below

https://youtu.be/P1WWT1DS_10

Materials

2 pieces of pretty peacock card stock 4 1/8" x 8 1/2", 1 piece 2 3/4" x 8", 1 piece 1 1/2" x 3"
2 pieces of old olive card stock 2 1/2" x 3 3/4"
2 pieces of whisper white card stock 2 1/4" x 3 1/2"
1 piece of dsp 4" x 5 1/4" and 2 pieces 1 1/4" x 4" (I've used Dinoroar)
Pretty peacock ink
Old olive ink
Dino Days stamp set
Sending you thoughts stamp set
2" circle punch
Starburst circle punch
Multipurpose adhesive
Tear and Tape
Trimmer
Simply Scored
Bone folder

Instructions

On the long side, score the two pieces of pretty peacock card at 1 1/2" and 3", fold the 1 1/2" into a valley fold and the 3" one into a mountain fold.

On the small piece of pretty peacock, make a mark on the left hand 3" side at 1 1/2" and make a diagonal score from that mark to the top right corner.  Fold on the score line and add tear tape to the back side of the triangle (see template) and add to the inner section of the front piece (see picture).

Add adhesive to the back of the outer sections of the two pieces and glue the back and front together (see picture) so that the card forms a Z but with a box in the centre.  The wiper should pop up from the centre of the card.

Decorate the front of the card with the dsp layers.

Stamp the dinosaurs and sentiments on the two whisper white layers (see picture) and the happy birthday on a scrap of whisper white and punch out with the 2" circle punch.  Adhere the old olive mats and the stamped layers to the 2 3/4" x 8" piece of card which you have scored in the middle at 4".

Punch out a starburst in pretty peacock and add the happy birthday sentiment to it.  Position this on the wiper mechanism so that it reads straight and doesn't show when the card is closed.  You could also use a cut out of a dinosaur as the pop up element if you wanted to.

I've since added a velcro dot to the small card on the front to keep it closed when displayed as it was making the card fall forwards.  You could add a cut out element here to tuck the front of the card behind instead.

I hope that you will give it a try.
