Today's theme for Share it on a Sunday was a hand stamped gift bag. I love making my own designer series paper, it doesn't always turn out like I expected but it's fun to have a go. So let me show you what I did and then how I put the bag together.
There is also a video tutorial over on my YouTube channel, click the link below:
https://youtu.be/IczQxkf-f_I
My original inspiration for this bag is from a tutorial by Sam Calcott (Mixed Up Crafts) but she used dsp and hers is much bigger so, although that's where the inspiration came from, this particular version is my own design and measurements.
I hope that you will like it and give it a try. There are links below so that you can see what my crafty friends Donna and Victoria have made too.

Detailed trio punch
1" circle punch
1 3/8" scalloped circle punch

Instructions
Stamp your design all over the sheet of A4 card stock, remember to vary the direction and stamp off the edges too. I added some daffodil delight to this after I had taken the picture.
When you are happy with it, cut a piece that measures 8" x 8" and a piece 4" x 2".
On the score board, along one edge score at 2" and 6", then turn 90 degrees and score at 3" and 5". On this side, now score at 2 1/2" and 5 1/2" just down to the first score line. Turn 180 degrees and repeat on the opposite side.
For the bag flap, score the 4" x 2" piece on the 2" side at 1/2".
Fold and burnish all the full score lines.
Cut up the score lines as shown in the picture to make the bag shape.
Then make diagonal scores on the panels shown in the picture (these form the shaping at the side of the bag).
Add adhesive to the tabs and adhere them to the front and back panels of the bag.
Squeeze the top of the bag together and the sides should pop out (see picture at the top).
With the detailed trio punch, corner round the front edges of the flap and then adhere the 1/2" section to the outside of the bag at the back.
Put the two bits of the velcro dot together and then stick to the inside of the flap and press the bag closed. Gently pull the two sides apart and reclose a couple of times to make sure that each side is adhered properly.
Stamp the sentiment on a scrap of whisper white and punch out with the 1" circle punch. Punch out the larger scalloped circle and glue the two together and add to the front flap of the bag in the centre with a dimensional.
You could add a ribbon handle if you want to, but I prefer the clutch bag look.
