Forever Fern Meets Beautiful Friendship One Sheet Wonder

Hi Everyone,

The new catalogue is almost here and I've been playing with stuff I bought in my pre-order so that I can show you how pretty it is.  I've been stamping with a new stamp set called Forever Fern and teamed it with  Beautiful Friendship to make a one sheet wonder which I then cut down into four card fronts.  Let me show you what I did.

Materials

1 A4 sheet of whisper white card stock for stamping
4 pieces of whisper white 3 7/8" x 5 5/8" for the inside of the cards
2 A4 sheets of coloured card cut in half for card bases (I've used shaded spruce and old olive)
Forever Fern stamp set
Beautiful Friendship stamp set
Daffodil delight ink
Old olive ink
Soft sea foam ink
Shaded spruce ink
Garden green ink
Melon mambo ink
Trimmer
Multipurpose adhesive

Instructions

There is no right or wrong to this, just stamp and have fun!

I lightly marked off my A4 whisper white into 4 sections with a pencil and ruler to give me an idea of how the card fronts would look.

I started with the large flower from Beautiful Friendship in daffodil delight and stamped one in each section.  Then I stamped one onto a post it note and fussy cut the image, so that I could mask off while I stamped the leaves around the flower.

Then I masked off the flower and stamped the large spray of leaves at the top in garden green, the small spray to the left of that in old olive, then the two to the right in soft sea foam.

Then I stamped two of the sets of round leaves on to post it notes and fussy cut them out.  With the flower still masked off I stamped one set of round leaves and then stamped off for the next in shaded spruce.

Then I masked off these two sets of leaves and stamped the pink flower spray in melon mambo.

For the cards that I mounted on old olive card bases, I stamped the sentiment from Forever Fern in old olive, and for the two others, I stamped in shaded spruce.

Then I stamped the inside sentiment and a spray of leaves on the whisper white pieces, two in old olive and two in shaded spruce.

Adhere the inside layers and then the card fronts. Job done, four beautiful cards using the gorgeous new Forever Fern stamp set.  I hope that you like them.

I can't yet show you the image for the stamp set in the product list below, you will have to wait until 3rd June for that.
