Flip the DSP Card

Hi Everyone,

Today I am trying to use up my stash of designer series paper and also show it off.  Stampin' Up! dsp is double sided so when you stick one side down, you often cover up another one that you really like.  So here's a way to get the best of both in one card.  Try it, it could be a way of showcasing all the lovely new dsp coming soon, or, like me, a way of destashing so that you can buy some more. I've also used two different card bases, one a pre scored bought one, one I made from card stock.

Materials

1 square card base (e.g. 5 3/4" square but it doesn't matter what size, the principle is the same)
1 square of co ordinating card 1/4" smaller (so mine is 5 5/8" square on the white base card)
1 5 1/2" square whisper white for the inside if required
1 square of designer series paper 5 1/2" square
1 square of card to match the card base or the mat (in this case the pool party one is 3" square and the blackberry bliss one is 2 3/4" square)
1 square of whisper white/white to stamping (2 7/8" square on pool party card, 2 1/2" on the blackberry)
Peaceful Poppies stamp set
Sending You Thoughts stamp set
Memento black ink
pool party Stampin Blend (light)
Multipurpose adhesive
Trimmer

Instructions

Fold the card base in half and burnish.

Add the card mat if using one on the card front.

Cut the dsp layer in half on the diagonal and flip one side over, arrange on the card front, leaving a small gap all the way around and adhere in place.

Stamp the sentiments on the small square pieces of card and on the inside.

I have coloured one of the images with Stampin' Blends but not the other.

Adhere this layer to the matting layer and fix to the centre of the card.

Quick and simple cards, give them a try.
