Hydrangea Oval Occasions Birthday Card - Ink Stamp Share Blog Hop

 Hi Everyone,

Today I am hopping with the Ink Stamp Share group and the theme is 'New Catalogue Goodies'. I have chosen to use some of the Hydrangea Hill designer series paper with the Oval Occasions stamp set and punch (which comes as a bundle saving 10%). I have used a minimal amount of this dsp because it is so beautiful, it doesn't need much embellishment.  Let me show you how I made it.

Materials

1 piece of highland heather card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4"
1 piece of balmy blue card stock 4" x 5 3/4" and a scrap for the sentiment
1 piece of whisper white 3 7/8" x 5 5/8" and a scrap for the sentiment
1 piece of dsp 3 7/8" x 5 5/8" and a scrap for the butterflies
Oval Occasions stamp set
Double oval punch
Butterfly duet punch
Highland heather ink
Multipurpose adhesive
Mini dimensionals
Trimmer
Simply Scored
Bone folder

Instructions

On the long side score the highland heather card stock at 4 1/8", fold and burnish to make the card base.

Adhere the balmy blue layer and then the dsp layer leaving a tiny border all the way around on each layer.

Punch 4 of the small butterflies from the scrap of dsp, I had a small piece left over with some of the main flowers so used that to punch out the butterflies.

Stamp a sentiment on the scrap of whisper white and punch out with the double punch and then layer up on scalloped layer in the balmy blue.

Add the sentiment using dimensionals to the top centre of the card and add the small butterflies with dimensionals around the design.

Add the remaining whisper white layer to the inside of the card.

Great Offers for January 2021

 Hi Everyone,

It's almost time for the new January - June Mini Catalogue and Sale-a-bration to launch and it is full of fabulous new designer series papers, stamp sets, dies and punches plus new ribbons and embellishments too.  I can't show you actual catalogue images yet but I have taken photos of some of the dsp that I already have (I don't have it all yet)  so that you can see some of what is on offer. I have some exciting offers for you to look at.

Paper Share

I am offering a 1/4 share (108 sheets of 6" x 6") of all of the 9 new designer series papers + a product gift from me (selection of dsp from the Saleabration brochure)  for £28 including post and packing.

(Love You Always, True Love, Hydrangea Hill, Dandy Garden, Fine Art Floral, Sand and Sea, Ice Cream Corner, Snail Mail, Well Suited). There are 4 additional sets on offer in the Sale-a-bration brochure - Paper Blooms, Oh So Ombre, Flower and Field and Berry Delightful).

This is a great way to sample what is on offer without buying whole packets.  If you are interested, please email me at craftykarendesigns@outlook.com.

Payment will be by Paypal only please.

Free Tutorial Bundle

I have joined together with a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world to compile a selection of 38 tutorials to give to my customers.  The Tutorial Bundle comes as a PDF file complete with pictures and instructions for all of the projects.  You can get this great resource FREE with any order over £10.

So you could choose something from one of the catalogues or get the Paper Share and then receive a FREE file with 38 projects, lots of inspiration to help you make beautiful projects yourself.

Don't forget that if you order from any of the the catalogues during January and February, you will also be able to choose a FREE item from the Sale-a-bration brochure for every £45 that you spend.

NB. You can't combine my Paper Share offer with a catalogue order to qualify for Sale-a-bration items as the Paper Share is a service that I am providing for my customers, it will come direct from me, not Stampin' Up!.  I need multiples of 4 to offer the Paper Share and there will be a slight delay as I have to order from Stampin' Up! and then cut the papers and package them up to send out to you.

Join My Team

Now is a great time to join my Team and become a Demonstrator with our fabulous joining offer: £130 of product from any of the catalogues for just £99, no shipping costs to pay and you will receive 5 packs of 6" x 6" designer series papers that are not available to anyone else until the new Annual Catalogue launches in June.  Once you become a Demonstrator you then receive 20% discount on all further purchases. There is no obligation to hold classes, sell to anyone else, blog or make videos (unless you want to) but there is a minimum requirement that you purchase £300 of product every quarter but for your first quarter, you get an additional 3 months, so you have until the end of June to meet this requirement. This is loads of time for you to then decide if this is for you and if it's not, then no worries, you drop as a Demonstrator and become a customer again.

I would love to have you as part of my team and I would be on hand to help you. I am part of wider teams within the UK and through Stampin' Up! have made many friends worldwide. It's a very supportive community and lots of fun but there is never any pressure to sell. I spent a while just buying for the discount for myself but because I was retired, I thought I would have a go at writing a blog and making tutorial videos and I love it but I know that it's not for everyone.

If you are interested, drop me an email and we can have a chat about it.

I hope that you have all had a good Christmas and lets look forward to a better 2021.

Happy Crafting,

Berry Blessings Thank You Card - Crafty Collaborations Blog Hop

 Hi Everyone,

Today I thought I would have a play with some of the lovely new Designer Series Paper that is available FREE in the 2021 Saleabration brochure, it's called Berry Delightful and is available as a Level Two offering with a stamp set for a qualifying £90 purchase from the catalogues. It's a very pretty paper and I thought I would use it to make Thank You cards for my Customers. let me show you how I made it.

Materials

1 piece of thick whisper white card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4", scrap for the sentiment
1 piece of garden green card stock 5" x 3", scrap for the sentiment
1 piece of dsp 5 3/4" x 4" (landscape card)
3 pieces of co-ordinating dsp 1 1/2" x 2 7/8"
Ornate Thanks stamp set
Garden green ink
Trimmer
Simply scored
Bone folder
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensional
Paper snips

Instructions

Score the thick whisper white at 4 1/8" on the long side and fold and burnish to make a landscape card.

Add the largest piece of dsp to the card front.  When I trimmed this from a piece of 6" x 6" dsp (I had a paper share, it comes as 12" x 12"), I had a 1/4" strip which I have adhered to the inside of the card for a bit of decoration.

Add the three contrasting panels of dsp to the garden green card mat leaving a border all around each piece (see picture). Fix dimensionals to the back and position this panel on the card front towards the top as you need to leave space for the sentiment.

Stamp the sentiment on a scrap of whisper white and adhere this to the scrap of garden green and cut around it to leave a small border.  Add dimensionals to this and position centrally on the card, below the decorated panel.

Job done, quick and easy card that can be used to show off designer series papers of to use up your scraps, I hope that you like it.

Pop over to see what the rest of my crafty colleagues have made, you are sure to be filled with inspiration:

My Favourite Share it on a Sunday Projects 2020

 Hi Everyone,

This is the last Share it on a Sunday for 2020 and what a year it has been, so much has happened in the world at large and I am eternally grateful to my two crafty friends Donna Lester and Victoria Littlewood for keeping me sane(ish), cheering me up, cheering me on, kicking my butt when required and generally just being there.

We started this as a way of making sure that we kept crafting and producing blogs, if we had to contribute a project to something joint, then we wouldn't let each other down. It worked, we haven't missed a single week since we started.  We also challenge each other and help each other to achieve the monthly goals that we set ourselves. Due to their encouragement my blog has grown and grown and my YouTube channel too. We also have a Facebook group - Craft and Banter - and that is growing too with lots of contributions from crafty folk all over the world, it's a lovely community of supportive crafters, I just love it.

So, as it's the last one of the year, we are looking back at out favourite projects and here are my three favourites from this year. I hope that you have enjoyed them too and I'm looking forward to making many more in 2021.

1. This one was the first that we did

Tic Tac Toe - It's PINK

2. This one I like because it is so easy to make in batches

Monochromatic Thank You Card

3. This one just because it's pretty

Colour Challenge Gorgeous Posies

 Hi Everyone,

Today I made a card for a colour challenge using Bumblebee, Misty Moonlight, Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler and I used my favourite Gorgeous Posies stamp set, I just love it, it is so pretty. Let me show you what I did:

Materials

1 piece of misty moonlight card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4" and a strip 3/4" x 3 1/4"
2 pieces of whisper white 3 7/8" x 5 5/8" and a strip for the sentiment 1/2" x 3"
Bumblebee ink
Cherry Cobbler ink
Misty Moonlight ink
Old Olive ink
Gorgeous Posies stamp set
Trimmer
Simply Scored
Bone folder
Paper snips
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals

Instructions

On the long side, score the misty moonlight card stock at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make the card base.

It is very easy to stamp your own design and there is no right or wrong way to do it. If you've never tried it, just give it a go.

On one of the pieces of whisper white, I stamped the large flower, randomly in bumblebee ink. I also stamped one flower on a post it note and cut it out to use as a mask.

Then I stamped the flower centre using the misty moonlight forgetting that it would look green over the top of the bumblebee but never mind, no right and wrong haha!

I then placed the mask over the flower and stamped the leaves in old olive, moving the mask to each flower in turn, mine isn't perfect but it doesn't matter.

There is a stamp in this set which I call the 'twiggy bit', I'm not sure what it is really but I thought it might be veins for the leaves. I stamped a set of these inside each of the leaves, again using the mask for the flower.  I wasn't really sure about that, I think I prefer them as 'twiggy bits' on their own, so I stamped them around the flowers, again using the mask, with the cherry cobbler ink.

When you are happy with your design, adhere it to the card front and also add the other piece of whisper white to the inside of the card.

Stamp a sentiment on the strip of whisper white with the misty moonlight ink and then mount this layer on to the bigger misty moonlight layer and add to the card front with dimensionals.

There you are, a quick and unique card, I hope that you like it and will give it a try.
