Hues of Happiness V W Fun Fold Card

 Hi Everyone,

Today's Fun Fold Friday is a V W Card (not sure what the proper name is) but if you look at the folds, one is a V shape and one is a W shape, hence VW Fold. I love this style, you can make it in any colour, with any dsp and it looks lovely. With this fabulous designer series paper, I have let that do the talking and used some of the partial images from the dsp to decorate the smaller panels too.

Materials

1 piece of night of navy card stock 5 7/8" x 11", 1 piece 5" x 3 1/2", 1 piece 2 1/4" x 3 1/4"
1 piece of basic white 3 3/4" x 5 5/8", 2 pieces 2" x 3"
1 piece of dsp 3 3/4" x 5 5/8", 4 pieces 1 1/2" x 5 5/8", 1 piece 2 1/4" x 3 1/4"
Scraps to die cut/fussy cut flowers and leaves
Night of navy ink
Happiness Abounds stamp set
Blossoming Happiness dies
Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine
Glossy Dots
Trimmer
Simply Scored
Bone Folder
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals
Paper snips

Instructions

On the long side score the larger piece of card at 1 3/4", 3 1/2", 5 1/4" and 7" and fold in a concertina shape (mountain, valley, mountain, valley, this makes the W) and burnish well.  Score the smaller piece at 2 1/2" and fold and burnish to make the smaller card (V).

Add the dsp layers to the larger card and to the front of the small card.

Stamp sentiments on the two small pieces of basic white and then adhere some partial images around the edges. Add one to the back section of the V card.

Die cut two large flowers and two sets of leaves.

Adhere the V card by adding adhesive on the left hand edge only of the front and position so that it sits centrally when the card is closed.  Then add adhesive to the inside of the back and fix in place.

Adhere the remaining stamped image to the mat layer and then line up on the inside of the card so that it can't be seen when the card is closed and fix in place.

Add the die cut images to the front of the small card and decorate with some glossy dots.

I do hope that you like my card and will give it a try. Here's another one that I did (I made it slightly bigger) using the Sun Prints dsp. This one is for my Son-in-Law's birthday.
