CASEing the Catalogue - Color & Contour - Stamping With Friends Blog Hop

Hi Everyone,

Today I am hopping with the Stamping With Friends group and the theme is 'CASEing the Catalogue'.  I have chosen a pretty card using the Color & Contour bundle (page 98 of the Annual Catalogue) and dsp from Cute Halloween. Let me show you what I did.

1 piece of highland heather card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4"
1 piece of dsp 4" x 5 3/4"
1 piece of basic white card 3 7/8" x 5 5/8" and scraps for stamping, the two borders and the sentiment label
Color & Contour stamp set
Scalloped Contour dies
Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine
Highland Heather blends
Flirty Flamingo blends
Pale Papaya blends
Highland heather ink
Memento Black ink
Scrap of Pale Papaya ribbon
Multipurpose adhesive
Simply scored
Bone folder

On the long side score the highland heather card at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make the card base.

Add the dsp to the card front.

Stamp three flowers on the scraps of basic white and colour them with blends (you can stamp the filler image using ink but I prefer to colour it in).  Stamp the sentiment on a scrap using highland heather ink.

Die cut two borders using the scalloped border die (approx 1" x the width of the card), the three flowers and the sentiment using the smallest of the scalloped rectangle dies.

Add the borders top and bottom on the card front as in the picture and then stamp the leaf image just above the bottom one (see picture). Arrange the three flowers on the card front using dimensionals with one of them just overlapping the stamped leaf.

Add the sentiment label with the ribbon just peeking out wither side of it (see picture).

Stamp a flower and another sentiment on the remaining piece of basic white card, colour in the flower and then add to the inside of the card.

I do hope that you like my card. Please pop over and see what everyone else has made, you are sure to be inspired.
