Fine Art Floral Birthday Card - InspireINK Blog Hop

 Hi Everyone,

Today I am hopping with the InspireINK Group and the theme is the new Mini Catalogue/Sale-a-bration products.  My favourite designer series paper is the Fine Art Floral, I think it is beautiful and I have used it a lot.  It comes with a fabulous stamp set and dies too. Let me show you how I made this card using a sketch challenge.

Materials

1 piece of poppy parade card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4", 1 piece 3 7/8" x 5 5/8" and 1 piece 2 5/8" x 3 1/2"
1 piece of dsp 3 5/8" x 1 5/8" and 1 piece of matching dsp 3 5/8" x 3 3/8"
1 piece of contrasting dsp 2 3/8" x 3 1/4"
1 piece of whisper white card stock 4" x 5 3/4", 1 piece 3 7/8" x 5 5/8" and a scrap for the sentiment
Poppy parade ink
Art Gallery stamp set
Floral Gallery dies
Stampin cut and emboss machine
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals

Instructions

This is the sketch that I was using for my inspiration.

On the long side score the poppy parade card stock at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make the card base.

Add the larger whisper white layer to the front of the card and the smaller one to the inside.

Arrange the two matching dsp pieces on the poppy parade layer - I have slightly larger borders than the sketch, then adhere them in place.

Add the contrasting dsp to the remaining poppy parade layer and add to the card front using dimensionals.

Stamp a sentiment on the scrap of whisper white using poppy parade ink and then die cut with one of the the label dies from the set.

There you are, a quick and easy card that looks very effective in any dsp and colour combination. It is useful to have layouts that you can return to over and over again.

Please pop over and see what my colleagues have made, there is sure to be heaps of inspiration to get the ideas flowing.
