Prized Peony Gift Box

Hi Everyone,

Today I am taking part in the InspireINK Blog Hop and the theme is 'My New Favourite'. My new favourite (today anyway) is the Prized peony stamp set, it is so pretty and for this project, I've heat embossed the image. Let me show you how I made it.  Please follow the hop and pop around to see what everyone else has made, the link is below this blog post.

Materials

1 piece of Gray Granite card stock 7" x 7"
1 piece of Petal Pink card stock 7 1/16" x 7 1/16"
Prized Peony stamp set
Versamark Ink pad
Silver Embossing Powder
Heat Tool
Embossing Buddy
Trimmer
Simply Scored
Bone Folder
Multipurpose adhesive
Mini glue dots
A small piece of ribbon for the bow (this is from my stash)

Instructions

Score both pieces of card stock at 1 1/2" on all four sides. Fold and burnish the gray piece only.

Rub the embossing buddy over the petal pink card stock.  Using Versamark ink, stamp the focal image and the sentiment on the middle square of the Petal Pink card stock, sprinkle with silver embossing powder and shake off the excess.  Heat set the image and the sentiment using the heat tool and then let it cool.

Cut up the scorelines as shown in the picture on both pieces of card stock and then add adhesive to the tabs and fold the tabs in to form the box and secure.

The lid should fit perfectly on top of the box.  Make a bow with the scrap of ribbon and add to the base of the peony image with glue dots.

This box is 4" x 4" x 1 1/2" deep so will hold tealights, chocolates, small pieces of make up or jewellery, anything you like.  I hope you like this project and will give it a try.  Don't forget to hop around the rest of the projects.

Happy crafting,

Karen XX
