craftykarendesigns: Share it on a Sunday - One Sheet Wonder Using Flowers For Every Season

Hi Everyone,

For Share it on a Sunday this week, Donna, Victoria and I are making One Sheet Wonders with a sheet of 6" x 6" designer series paper. I've chosen Flowers For Every Season because I think it's very pretty and it co-ordinates well with the new In Colours for 2020-2022. I have chosen card bases in different colours to highlight the co-ordination but you could just as easily use all one colour.

Materials

4 pieces of A4 coloured card stock (this will be for bases and mats and layers)

1 piece of A4 whisper white (this will be for mats and sentiment layers)

1 piece of 6" x 6" designer series paper

Timeless Tulips stamp set

Lovely You stamp set

Just Jade ink

Bumblebee ink

Magenta Madness ink

2020-2022 In colour enamel dots

2020-2022 In colour ribbon (bumblebee, magenta madness and just jade)

Multipurpose adhesive

Instructions

Cut the designer series paper as per the template shown in the picture

Card 1 - Bumblebee

Cut a card base 5 7/8" x 8 1/4" in bumblebee and fold in half and burnish well.

Take the two 1/2" strips of dsp and adhere one on either side of the whisper white (3 7/8" x 5 5/8") and trim off the excess.

Add a strip of bumblebee ribbon next to the dsp layers making sure that they butt right up to the edge and fix in place with tape on the reverse.

Stamp the sentiment, using bumblebee ink, at the top in the centre and add two sets of flowers (all from Lovely You) at the bottom. Adhere this layer to the card front.

Fix one of the 2" squares to a 21/8" square of bumblebee card and fix with the top about a third of the way down the card. Add some enamel dots for decoration.

Card 2 - Just Jade

Cut a card base 5 7/8" x 8 1/4" in just jade and fold in half and burnish well.

Take two of the 2" squares of dsp and adhere to 2 1/4" mats of whisper white and adhere both of these to a mat of bumblebee card measuring 3 7/8" x 5 5/8" (this card is going to be tent fold).

Wrap a strip of just jade ribbon around this layer and secure on the back with tape, butt this right up to the two matted squares.

Cut a strip of just jade card stock 3/4" x 5 5/8" and add to the card front leaving a gap above and below (see picture).

Stamp the sentiment from Timeless Tulips using just jade ink on to a 1/2" x 5 1/4" strip of whisper white and adhere to the centre of the just jade strip. Decorate with enamel dots.

Card 3 - Misty Moonlight

Cut a card base 5 7/8" x 8 1/4" in misty moonlight and fold in half and burnish well.

Take the 3" square of designer series paper and cut it in half diagonally. Then cut a piece of whisper white 3 1/2" square and cut that diagonally and mount a dsp piece on to each whisper white piece.

Adhere these two layers to the card front as shown in the picture.

Punch out a circle of bumblebee card using a 2 1/4" circle punch.

Punch out a whisper white circle using a 2" circle punch.

Stamp the flower heads from Lovely You all around the edge of the 2" whisper white circle using bumblebee ink and then add the sentiment in the centre. Add enamel dots for decoration.

Card 4 - Magenta Madness

Cut a card base 5 7/8" x 8 1/4" in magenta madness and fold in half and burnish well.

Adhere a whisper white matting layer 3 7/8" x 5 5/8" to the card front.

Adhere the 3" square of dsp to a 3 1/4" square of magenta madness and fix to the top centre of the card front.

Cut a piece of magenta madness 1" x 3 1/4" and piece of whisper white 3/4" x 3". Stamp a sentiment in the centre of the whisper white strip using magenta madness ink and then adhere the two together and add to the card front about 1" below the dsp square.

Add enamel dots as decoration and make a small bow from the ribbon and add that in between the two sections.
