Fun Fold Friday #20 - Flowering Blooms Upright Z Fold Card

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to my Fun Fold Friday series, this is Week 20 and I have made an Upright Z Fold card. I was  inspired by a card I saw Pip Todman make and it was like a 'lightbulb' moment and I thought, I make lots of Z folds, why did it never occur to me to stand it up? So, thanks Pip for the inspiration. There is a video tutorial over on my YouTube channel, click on the link below:

Materials

1 piece of Bermuda Bay card stock 5" by the full length of an A4 sheet
1 piece of Bermuda Bay card stock 3 1/4" x 5"
1 piece of Whisper white 3 1/8" x 4 7/8" for the stamping layer
1 piece of Whisper White 2 3/4" x 4 3/4" for the message
1 piece of dsp 4 3/4" x 5 3/4" and 1 piece 2 5/8" x 4 3/4" (I've used the Brights Paper Stack)
Flowering Blooms stamp set
Bermuda Bay ink
Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch
Very Versailles stamp set
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals
Simply scored
Trimmer
Bone Folder

Instructions

Score the large piece of bermuda bay card on the long side at 2 3/4" and 5 5/8", fold and burnish the score lines to make the basic Z shape.

Adhere the dsp layers to the back piece and the front fold edge (see picture).

Stamp a decoration on the whisper white message layer and then adhere to the inside of the front fold to write your message.

Stamp the focal flower image on the remaining piece of whisper white using the bermuda bay ink, adhere to the bermuda bay mat and then add to the centre front panel. Remember to only put adhesive on the bottom half of this layer and line it up so it is central on the card (see picture).

Stamp a sentiment on a scrap of whisper white using bermuda bay ink and then punch out using the new Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch.  Add dimensionals to the top of the punched out piece then add to the centre from towards the top of the card so that it will keep the layers together when the card is stood up.

I hope you like this card and will give it a try.
