Forever Greenery Card - Global Design Project Sketch Challenge #GDP246

Hi Everyone,

Today I have made a card for the Global Design Project Sketch Challenge #GDP246  using the lovely Forever Greenery Suite of products.

Materials

1 piece of shaded spruce card stock 7" x 9" for the base, scraps for the die cuts and a 2 1/4" circle for the sentiment
Scraps of mint macaron, whisper white gold foil, just jade and soft sea foam for the leaves
1 piece of whisper white 2 3/4" x 6 7/8" for the inside
1 piece of dsp 3 7/8" x 6 7/8" for the card front
1 piece of contrasting dsp 2" x 6 7/8" for the edging strip
Shaded spruce ink
Soft sea foam ink
Pear Pizzazz ink
Just jade ink
Forever Fern stamp set
Multipurpose adhesive
Forever Flourishing dies
Die cutting machine
Trimmer
2" circle punch
2 1/4" circle punch
Dimensionals

Instructions

Score the shaded spruce card base at 5" and fold and burnish.

Adhere the whisper white piece to the inside left hand side on the card and the 2" strip of dsp to the right hand side so that it just has a tiny border showing.

Adhere the other dsp to the card front leaving a tiny border.

Stamp a selection of leaves from the stamp set in a selection of greens on either matching card or whisper white and die cut them, you can also die cut some in gold foil too.

Stamp the sentiment on a scrap of whisper white using shaded spruce ink and punch out with a 2" circle punch.  Punch out a 2 1/4" circle from shaded spruce and layer the two together.

Arrange the leaves in a pattern resembling the one on the sketch above and glue the leaves down.  Add dimensionals to the back of the sentiment and arrange as the picture above.

A pretty card following a sketch which can be adapted to use any die cute of punch outs and any dsp to make lots of different cards.  Sketch challenges are a great way to get your creative mojo going, why don't you give it a try.
