Flowering Blooms Colour Challenge Card

Hi Everyone,

Today’s card is one I have made for a colour challenge. The colours to be used were Magenta Madness, Misty Moonlight and Balmy Blue. So, two of the new in colours and a chance to use some lovely new products. Let me show you how I made it.

Materials

1 piece of misty moonlight card stock 5 7/8” x 8 1/4”
1 piece of dsp 4” x 5 3/4” (I’ve used Flowers for Every Season)
1 piece of magenta madness card stock 3 5/8" x 5 1/2"
2 pieces of whisper white card stock, 1 for the inside 3 1/3" x 5 1/4"
Scrap of magenta (" wide) and whisper white (3/4" wide) for the sentiment
Flowering blooms stamp set
Beauty Abounds stamp set
Lovely labels pick a punch
Misty moonlight ribbon
Balmy blue ink
2020-2022 In colour enamel dots
Glue
Dimensionals

Instructions

Stamp the large rose image in the centre, towards the top of the piece of whisper white with the balmy blue ink.

Stamp the sentiment on a 3/4” strip of whisper white and punch both ends. Use the strip of magenta and punch both ends to make the matting layer for the sentiment.

Wrap the ribbon around the stamped whisper white layer towards the bottom and secure on the reverse.

Adhere the dsp layer to the card front. Add the blank whisper white layer to the inside of the card.

Adhere the magenta madness layer on top leaving a border all around the edge.

Adhere the stamped layer to the centre of the card front leaving a small border all around.

Add dimensionals to the back of the sentiment labels and adhere centrally over the top of the ribbon at the bottom of the card.

Add four misty moonlight enamel dots around the edges of the sentiment layer and add two magenta madness dots to the sentiment itself.

There you go, a quick and pretty card.
