Daffodil Daydream Easel Card - Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop

 Hi Everyone,

Today I have made an easel card using the Daffodil Daydream stamp set and dies and I was inspired by Kelly Acheson. Kelly made this card on her Million Dollar trip to Riverton when she stamped with Sara Douglass. I love the effect and never thought of having the flowers arranged in this way on an easel card so thought I would give it a try.

Materials

1 piece of evening evergreen card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4", scrap for the sentiment
1 piece of basic white card 3 7/8" x 5 5/8", scrap for the sentiment
Scraps of old olive and daffodil delight card for the die cuts
Evening evergreen ink
Daffodil Daydream stamp set
Daffodil dies
Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine
Trimmer
Paper Snips
Simply scored
Bone folder
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals

Instructions

On the long side score the evening evergreen at 4 1/8 and fold and burnish, then either fold one half, in half, or score at 2 1/16" to make the easel and fold and burnish. (I've changed the measurements slightly as I'm using UK A4).

Randomly stamp the splatter using evening evergreen ink on the front and back of the easel to give some texture to the background. I forgot to do this until after I adhered the flowers!!

Die cut enough pieces to make 4 daffodils and 3 buds with all the stems and leaves and layer them up to make the individual flowers, the detailed pieces goes on top of the solid piece, it's really easy to work out.

Arrange the leaves and stems on the card front over lapping the middle fold but make sure they don't overhang the edges of the card when it's folded. Trim off the excess with the paper snips.   Then add the flowers on top.

Stamp around three edges of the white card with the long trellis stamp and then adhere this to the inside of the card.

Stamp a sentiment on the scrap of white and layer up on the green and add to the inside of the card using dimensionals to act as a stopper when the card is displayed.

I really like how this card turned out so thanks for the inspiration Kelly Acheson (A Stamp Above).

Please pop over and see what everyone else has made too.
