Today I have made a card for a colour challenge from one of my crafty friends. We challenge each other often to keep our crafty mojo going and to stretch us out of our comfort zones. This colour challenge was Gorgeous Grape, Garden Green and Flirty Flamingo and I decided to team it with the lovely Field of Flowers stamp set and punch. Let me show you how I made it.
Materials
1 piece of gorgeous grape card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4", scraps to punch out the tiny flowers
1 piece of whisper white 3 7/8" x 5 5/8" for the inside
1 piece of whisper white 5 1/2" x 3 3/8"
Field of Flowers stamp set
Confetti Flowers Border Punch
Gorgeous grape ink
Garden green ink
Flirty Flamingo ink
Multipurpose adhesive
Trimmer
Instructions
Score the card base at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish.
Stamp the grass layer using garden green centrally towards the bottom of the smaller whisper white layer. Add the flowers using flirty flamingo across the top of the grass. Then stamp the sentiment in gorgeous grape at the top and add a few green dragonflies fluttering about.
On the inside layer, stamp some small flowers along the right hand edge as well as a couple of dragonflies and then adhere to the inside of the card.
Using the confetti border punch, punch out some flowers using the scrap of gorgeous grape and then adhere them in between the other flowers.
Adhere this layer centrally to the card front and the job is done, quick and simple card.
