Monochrome Pizza box to hold 4 tealights

Hi Everyone,

Today I have made a pizza box to hold 4 tealights.  It's really quick and easy to make, great for little gifts or craft fairs and can be made in card stock and decorated or in thick dsp, either way looks pretty.

Materials

1 piece of black card stock  5" x 8 3/4"
1 piece of  Golden Honey dsp 3" x 3 1/4"
1 piece of real red ribbon approx 16" (my stash)
Multipurpose adhesive
Memento black ink
Small tag die (my stash), small punch will work just as well
Thoughtful Blooms stamp set

Instructions

On the short side, score at 3/4"and 4 1/4", then turn and on the long side, score at 3/4", 4", 4 3/4", 8" and fold and burnish all the score lines.

With the card on the long side, cut up all the score lines to the first horizontal line and notch out the tabs, then turn 180 degrees and do the same on the other side.

Add glue to the outside of  two tabs at one end and the middle ones too and then fold them in to make the base of the box.

Then add glue to the other two tabs and fold in to make the lid.

Add the dsp to the lid with multipurpose adhesive.

To avoid the side edges flaring out at the back of the box, you can cut on a diagonal from the front of the lid to the back if you are confident with the scissors.  Otherwise, when you decorate you can add ribbon or a belly band to keep the sides tucked in, which is what I have chosen to do this time.

Die cut (or punch out a small tag or circle) and stamp a sentiment on it, then adhere to the top of the box, I have added mine in the centre so it is poking out of the ribbon (see picture at the top of the page).
