Fun Fold Friday #11 - Peaceful Poppies Joy Fold Card

Hi Everyone,

Today's Fun Fold Friday is a Joy Fold card and I have no idea why is is called that, it just is.  I've combined a couple of stamp sets and also a couple of different sets of designer series paper in an aim to highlight the co-ordination of Stampin' Up! products.  I hope that you like it and will give it a try.

There is also a video tutorial for this project over on my YouTube channel, please click on the link below and you can watch how I made this card:

Materials

1 piece of Blackberry Bliss card stock 4 1/4" x 9 3/8" and 1 piece 3 1/4" x 8 1/2"
2 pieces of whisper white card stock 3" x 4"
1 piece of Peaceful Poppies dsp 4" x 6"(for the back layer)  and 1 piece 2 7/8" x 4" (for the front flap)
1 piece of co-ordinating dsp (I've used Lily Impressions) 2 7/8" x 4" for the inside of the front flap and 1 piece 3" x 4" for the front of the smaller card which sits on the front
Blackberry bliss ink
Painted Poppies stamp set
Dandelion Wishes stamp set
Stitched So Sweetly dies
Die cutting machine
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals
Trimmer
Bone folder
Simple Scored

Instructions

Score the larger piece of card stock at 6 1/4" and fold and burnish and then score the smaller piece at 4 1/4" and fold and burnish. When this card is finished, the two open in opposite directions and the smaller one sits inside the larger one (see picture).

Add the largest piece of dsp to the back panel of the card and the matching smaller panel to the front flap.  Add a co-ordinating piece of dsp to the inside of the front flap.

Then adhere a piece of whisper white to the inside of the smaller piece of card remembering that the small one opens out to the right and the larger one to the left as you look at it.

Then add the final piece of dsp to the front section of the smaller card.

On the final piece of whisper white stamp a poppy and the sentiment from Dandelion Wishes in Blackberry Bliss ink and then die cut with the second largest stitched scalloped rectangle die.  Add dimensionals to the back and set to one side.

Add glue to the back section of the smaller card and adhere to the larger card so that the back of the card goes underneath the front flap on the larger card and leave an equal border all the way around.

Add the sentiment layer to the centre of the front flap of the smaller card and add embellishments or ribbon is desired.

I do hope that like this card and will give it a try.
