Share it on a Sunday - Love What You Do Thank You Cards

Hi Everyone,

Today for our Share it on a Sunday Challenge, Donna, Victoria and I are showing some love to an old stamp set. Sometimes, we buy new ones and get all excited about them and then forget some of the lovely ones we have had for a while.  So, today I have made a set of Thank You cards using this stamp set. I've teamed it with different scraps of dsp that I had in my scrap pile and swapped the colours to show how versatile stamp sets are. Please hop over to see what Donna and Victoria have made with the same stamp set and give it a try yourself, do some mixing and matching and see what you come up with.  Happy stamping!!

Materials (For each card)

1 piece of  whisper white card stock 8 1/4" x 5 7/8" for the card base and 1 piece 2 3/4" x 3 3/4" for the sentiment
1 piece of dsp 3 7/8" x 5 5/8" (I've used Bird Ballad)
Stitched so sweetly dies
Die Cutting machine
Ink pads to match
Love What You Do stamp set
Trimmer
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals

Instructions

Fold and burnish the card stock in half to make the card base.

Add the dsp layer to the card front leaving a small border all the way around the edge.

Die cut a stitched scalloped rectangle from the scrap of  whisper white (I've used the one which is approximately 2 1/2" x 3 1/2").

Stamp Thank you towards the bottom of the die cut piece in a colour of your choice, then put a post it note over it to mask it while you stamp the flower image as it is a bit too long.  Add dimensionals to the back and add to the card front.

I've also stamped the flower on the inside of the card for a bit of added interest.

In this blog I am aiming to show you how you can use the same stamp set to make multiple cards but they can all be different.  Change the background mat, change the colour, change the position of the sentiment.  You could also add another mat behind the dsp layer (as I've done with the Garden Lane versions in the pictures below). If you choose to do that just make the mat 1/8" bigger all round than the dsp.
