Fun Fold Friday - #2 - Simple Z Fold Card using Peaceful Poppies

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to the second in my series Fun Fold Friday, this time I have made a pretty Z fold card using the beautiful Peaceful Poppies dsp and the sentiment comes from Butterfly Gala.  I hope you will give it a try, this style of card looks great with any dsp and you can mix and match sentiments, punches and dies to embellish them.

You can see the video tutorial on my YouTube channel by clicking the link below

I had to remake the video due to a technical hitch so the colours I have used in the video are different.

#2 - Simple Z Fold

Materials

1 piece of card stock 10" x 7"
1 piece of whisper white 2 1/4" x 6 3/4"
1 piece of dsp 4 3/4" x 6 3/4" and 2 1/4" x 6 3/4"
1 piece of contrasting dsp 2 1/4" x 6 3/4"
Scraps of card stock for the sentiment layer (I have used old olive and whisper white)
Memento Black ink
Poppy Parade Ink (or blends)
Blender Pen
Peaceful Poppies stamp set
Butterfly Gala stamp set
Stitched So Sweetly dies
Die cutting machine
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals
Trimmer
Simply Scored

Instructions

Score the coloured card stock on the long side at 2 1/2" and 5", fold and burnish the score lines, the 2 1/2" score line is folded back on itself to form the Z.

Adhere the dsp layers in place.

Stamp a sentiment on the whisper white layer for the inside if desired.

Stamp the poppies on a scrap of whisper white using memento black ink and the sentiment just above them.  Colour in the poppies either with a Stampin Blend in Poppy Parade or by using the Blender Pen dipped in the ink pad which is how I've done this one (don't forget to scribble off the excess ink on a scrap of waste paper to clean the blender pen before you put it away).

Using the scalloped rectangle dies, cut out the poppies and the sentiment using the second largest die in the set.  Cut out the largest rectangle in the coloured card stock.  Layer the sentiment on to the coloured card and then adhere to the front of the card with dimensionals making sure you only put them on the right hand half of the sentiment.

I hope that you have enjoyed this simple Z fold card and will give it a try and hope that you will come back for #3 which will be the Double Z Fold card.
