Share it on a Sunday - Anything Goes - Double Vertical Stepper Card

 Hi Everyone,

Today we have an 'Anything Goes' theme so I've made a fun fold card inspired by the lovely Sam Calcott on Mixed Up Crafts, she called it a Double Vertical Stepper Card. I've used the gorgeous In Colour paper stack, the Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder and the Sending Smiles Bundle. This card folds flat and is 6" square.

Materials

2 pieces of 6" x 12" Tahitian Tide card stock, 1 piece 5 1/2" x 4"scrap for the die cut
1 piece of basic white 3 7/8" square, 1 piece 5 1/2" square scraps for die cuts and stamping
1 piece of dsp 6" square, 2 pieces 1 3/4" x 6", 2 pieces 7/8" x 6"
Tahitian Tide ink
Parakeet Party ink
Daffodil Delight ink
Sending Smiles Bundle
Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine
Basic Rhinestones
Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder
Trimmer
Simply Scored
Bone Folder
Multipurpose Adhesive
Dimensionals

Instructions

On the long side, score both pieces of Tahitian Tide card at 6", 8", 10" and 11" and fold and burnish to make the card base. Sit one inside the other and adhere the two large square pieces together, one on top of the other, it doesn't matter which way (see picture).

Adhere the dsp to the large square and the two largest steps but NOT the narrow one at the front.

Score the smaller piece of Tahitian Tide on the long side at 3/4" and 4 3/4" and fold and burnish.  This piece sits on top of the front strips and is then covered by the dsp strips. Decide where you want the piece across the centre to go and adhere in place, then adhere the strips of dsp over the top to hide the join. You need to fold the card flat the adhere this piece in place.

Run the basic white piece through the machine in the embossing folder and adhere that to the centre bridge section.

Stamp some flowers and leaves and die cut them as well as the word 'Sending' and a label for the sentiment that you have chosen. Stamp the sentiment on the label you have cut.  Arrange the die cuts and sentiments on the embossed layer and fix in place using dimensionals.

Add some rhinestones (I always lose the 'dot' from the 'i' so replace it with a rhinestone).

Stamp a sentiment and some flowers on the remaining piece of basic white and add to the back of the card to write your message.

I hope that you like my card, don't forget to pop over and see what Donna and Victoria have made this week too.
