Lights Aglow - Spruced Up TeePee Card - Fun Fold Friday

Hi Everyone,

Today I have made a cute TeePee Card using the Lights Aglow dsp, Spruced Up Outline dies and the Penguin Place stamp set.

Materials

3 pieces of soft succulent card stock 4" square
2 piece of gold foil 3 5/8" square and 1 piece 1 1/4" square, scraps for die cutting
2 pieces of dsp 3 1/8" square, 1 piece 1" square (Lights Aglow)
Scraps basic white for stamping
Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine
Spruced Up Outline Dies
Penguin Place stamp set
Evening Evergreen ink
Velcro dot
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals
Paper trimmer
Die cutting machine

Instructions

Score all three pieces of square card stock on the diagonal either in your trimmer or on your score board and fold and burnish all the score lines.

Cut the foil and dsp squares on the diagonal.

Lay one square on your table with the diagonal score running top to bottom.  The other two squares will be tucked behind this square (see picture) and glued in place.  Be careful to get the cut edge of the diagonal piece right up to the score line of the piece tucked behind it.  When you have done that, your card should look like this

Flip the card over and lay down the foil and dsp, you can replace the dsp on one of the back sections with a basic white triangle to write your message (the dimensions are the same as for the dsp), or you can write on the inside.

Fold the card into its shape and add a Velcro dot inside the back flap to adhere them both together.  Open this Velcro dot to fold the card flat to go into the envelope for posting.

Open the card out and lay flat on the table.  In order to make sure it fits in the envelope, make sure the decoration only goes over the right hand section and doesn't fall outside the straight left hand edge.

Die cut a parcel and some strings of lights in gold foil and add to the dsp sections.

Stamp a sentiment and trim close to the words and add to the card using mini dimensionals.

I hope that you like this card and will give it a try.

  1. Love this card. Thank you for the clear instructions. I'll definitely be having a go at this. When I first saw the card I couldn't imagine how you would get the matting and layering so exact but I can see that now following your instructions. Thank you. Sharon.
