Sweet Symmetry One Sheet Wonder - InspireINK Blog Hop

 Hi Everyone,

This month's theme is 'One Sheet Wonders' and I have used a 6" x 6" piece of the lovely Sweet Symmetry designer series paper to make four cards. One sheet wonders are great ways of getting the most out of your dsp. Let me show you how I made mine.

Materials

1 sheet of 6" x 6" dsp
1 sheet of card/graph paper to make your template 6" x 6"
4 x 5 7/8" x 8 1/4" night of navy card stock for the card bases
6 pieces  basic white card 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"
1 piece 1 1/4" x 5 1/2", 1 piece 2 1/2" x 5 5/8" for the embossing
Bumblebee card stock scraps to mat your dsp layers (dimensions on the template)
Biggest Wish stamp set
Night of navy ink
Bumblebee ink
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals
Trimmer
Simply scored
Bone folder
Scrap of misty moonlight ribbon
Checks and Dots embossing folders
Bark 3D embossing folder
Stampin Cut and Emboss machine
Triple Banner punch

Instructions

When I make a one sheet wonder I start with a blank piece of card/grid paper and start adding lines to cut it up into sections of different sizes. Once I am happy with it, I cut out the dsp to match (keep the template because you can then use it any time, it will always look different, just change the dsp, the colours, the backgrounds etc).

On the long side score the night of navy pieces at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make the card bases.

Adhere the dsp pieces to their mat layers.

Run the two smaller pieces of white card through the Stampin Cut and Emboss, the smaller one in the Bark and the larger one in the Dots.

Card 1

Stamp the tiny crosses all over the card front in night of navy ink. Adhere the bark embossed piece to the left side of the card front, then add the dsp matted layer as shown in the picture using dimensionals. Stamp HELLO on a scrap of white and then mat it on some bumblebee and add with dimensionals as shown.

Card 2

Adhere the three small dsp pieces to their mats and add to the white mat layer leaving equal borders all around the top and sides.  Stamp the sentiment and the tiny crosses across the bottom of the white section. Add a piece of misty moonlight ribbon and secure on the back with some sticky tape.  Using another small piece of ribbon tie in a knot around the strip of ribbon at the left and then add this mat layer to the card front.

Card 3

Adhere the triangular shaped pieces to a white mat layer with dimensionals and stamp 'birthday' across the card in between these two pieces, then adhere the whole thing to the card front.

Card 4

Adhere the dots embossed piece to the right side of the card front and then add the dsp matted piece on the left so that it overlaps slightly.  Stamp 'HELLO' in bumblebee on a scrap of white and then 'friend' over the top in night of navy.  Punch the right end of these pieces with the banner punch and then adhere the white piece on the bumblebee and add to the card front on dimensionals.

Adhere the remaining white pieces to the inside of the cards to write your message, you can decorate these too if you like.
