Hi Everyone,
Today I am playing with colours, this combination was set as a Colour Challenge in the Pootlers Team Group. I am also playing with the new Decorative Masks and blending brushes too. Let me show you how I made it.
Materials
1 piece of melon mambo card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4"
2 pieces of basic white card 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"
Scraps of basic white, night of navy, melon mambo and mint macaron card for the triangles
Night of Navy ink
Melon Mambo ink
Mint Macaron ink
Blending brushes
Decorative Masks
Washi Tape
Stampin Cut and Emboss machine
Stitched Triangle dies
Trimmer
Simply scored
Bone folder
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals
Instructions
On the long side score the melon mambo card at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make the card base.
Die cut a selection of triangles in each of the colours.
Put the mask over a piece of the basic white and tape in place with some washi tape to keep it still. Using the three colours starting at one side, blend the colours over the mask using a circular motion and tapping off the excess on a piece of scrap before you start. When you have finished, peel off the washi tape and the mask to reveal the pattern.
Adhere this layer to the card front.
Stamp the larger sentiment on the basic white triangle and then the second sentiment on one of the smaller ones. Add them to the card front, I have used dimensionals for the white one and glued the rest in place.
I have stamped the sentiment again on the remaining piece of white card but reversed it (see picture), so the outside says 'Friends Forever' and inside says 'Forever Friends'. Add this layer to the inside of the card.
I am really enjoying using these decorative masks, I really don't know why I haven't played with them before, its great fun.
