Pirate Give it a Whirl Birthday Card

 Hi Everyone,

Today I have been playing with the Give it a Whirl dies for the first time and I have teamed them with the Pirates and Mermaids stamp set. I'm also practising with my Stampin' Blends too, trying to keep pushing myself out of my comfort zone. I've made  this card for our Stampin' Birds Showcase Blog Hop.

Materials

1 piece of misty moonlight card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4", 1 piece 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"
1 piece of basic white card 3 7/8" x 5 5/8", scraps for stamping images
Pirates and Mermaids stamp set
Misty moonlight ink
Memento black ink
Stampin Cut and Emboss machine
Give it a whirl dies
1 small brad
Poppy parade Stampin Blends
Smoky Slate Stampin Blends
Daffodil Delight Stampin Blends
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals
Trimmer
Simply scored
Bone folder
Paper snips

Instructions

On the long side score the misty moonlight card at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to made the card base.

Die cut the large rectangular die with the cut out piece from the other piece of misty moonlight card.  Then place the die that you are using for the cut out window on this piece, carefully lining up the hole in the centre where the brad will go and die cut that aperture. Die cut the wheel from the basic white.

Stamp any decoration on the larger rectangle piece with the window. Then line up the sentiments or pictures, whatever you are using to appear in the window and stamp them. Make sure that they are in the centre of the section and facing the right way.  Put the brad through the rectangle and then the wheel, open out the pins and press them open. Make sure that the wheel will spin and make the images appear in your window correctly.  Add dimensionals to the back of this rectangle piece, avoiding the wheel and add to the card front.

Stamp your images to be coloured on the scraps of basic white and colour them with the Stampin Blends.  Fussy cut and add to the card front with dimensionals.

Stamp a sentiment and some stars on the remaining piece of basic white and adhere to the inside of the card.
