craftykarendesigns: Lovely You Pierced Blooms Let's Cheer You Up Card

Hi Everyone,

A very quick card today following a sketch challenge I found. I love to do sketch challenges, they are great for getting your crafty mojo going if your inspiration has gone for a walk haha. I had lots of these flowers already cut out so I am using up scraps from my craft desk too. There are lots of these on Pinterest, have a look and see if you can find one to inspire you.

Materials

1 piece of highland heather card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4"

1 piece of gorgeous grape card stock 4 3/4" x 3 1/2"

1 piece of basic white 3 7/8" x 5 5/8", 1 piece 4 1/2" x 3 1/4"

Scraps of highland heather, old olive and basic white for the decoration and sentiment

Gorgeous grape ink

Lovely You stamp set

Pierced Bloom dies

6" piece of gorgeous grape ribbon

Double Oval punch

Stampin' Cut and Emboss machine

Basic rhinestones

Trimmer

Checks and Dots Embossing Folders

Multipurpose adhesive

Bone folder

Dimensionals

Instructions

On the long side score the highland heather card at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make a landscape card base.

Run the smallest piece of white card through the machine using the dots embossing folder and then die cut a selection of flowers and leaves.

Adhere the embossed layer to the gorgeous grape layer and wrap the piece of ribbon around and secure on the back with some sticky tape. Adhere this layer to the card front.

Arrange the flowers to the right of the embossed panel and fix in place either with glue or dimensionals and tuck the leaves in around them.

Stamp the sentiment on a scrap of white and then punch out with the smaller of the two ovals, then punch out the larger scalloped one in highland heather and adhere the two together and add to the card front on dimensionals over the ribbon.

Stamp some flowers from Lovely You on the remaining piece of white card and then adhere to the inside of the card. Add some rhinestones and the card is finished.
