This week for Share it on a Sunday, we are making covered notebooks and I have chosen a larger one to sit on my desk and used the gorgeous Expressions in Ink designer series paper. Let me show you how I made it, you can also check out the YouTube Tutorial, just click on the link below:

Instructions
On the long side, score the shaded spruce (A4) at 5 5/8", 6 1/8" and 6 5/8" and fold and burnish the score lines. Score the small piece on the short side at 1 1/8" and 1 3/8" and fold and burnish.
Fold the large piece on the middle fold line and about 1 1/2" down from the top, snip from the fold to the score line and repeat at 2", this is the holder for the pen.
Open out and with the cut out for the pen at the top end, add redline tape or tear tape in between the middle and right hand score line above and below the pen slot, remove the backing and fold shut and push the pen holder outwards (see picture).
Add redline tape to the back of the smaller piece of card stock and fold around the top of the notepad to cover the existing binding. If your pad doesn't have this, you can leave this bit out.
Then add tape to the back of the notepad and stick the notepad inside the folder.
Die cut the leaves and sentiment mat from the centre of the gold foil if you can (I didn't want to waste all the central piece that wouldn't be seen) and cut the basic white scrap with the smallest rectangle for your sentiment.
Add the gold foil to the front and then add the dsp layer on top. Stamp a sentiment on the white mat and layer it up on the gold and add to the card front on dimensionals. Tuck the leaves in and around the sentiment and adhere in place.
Add the pen to the holder on the side and it's finished. Don't forget to pop over and see what Donna and Victoria have made this week too.
