Expressions in Ink Crossover Points Get Well Card

 Hi Everyone,

Today I have made a Crossover Points card as a Get Well card using the gorgeous Expressions in Ink designer series papers. I've seen lots of these cards around but my inspiration came from Mixed Up Craft and I have slightly tweaked the measurements of the base card to use A4 card stock. Let me show you how I made it.

Materials

1 sheet of A4 pale papaya card stock
1 piece of basic white card 5 1/2" square
1 piece of dsp 5 3/4" square and 1 piece 5 1/2" square
Scrap of gold foil
Hand Penned Petals stamp set
Versamark ink
Gold embossing powder
Heat Tool
Painted Label dies
Stampin Cut and Emboss machine
Trimmer
Simply scored
Bone folder
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals

Instructions

On the long side score the A4 card at 5 7/8" and then turn on the short side and cut at 5 7/8" and you should have a square card base, fold and burnish to make a tent fold card.

On the front of the card, mark the bottom at the centre which is just under 3" (2 15/16"), then cut from the centre card score line down to the mark on the right of the card front and then repeat on the left, this will leave you with the triangular shape on the card front.

Repeat this step on the 5 1/2" square dsp and basic white card to get the same triangular pieces.

Adhere the 5 3/4" dsp to the inside of the card and then add the large triangular white piece in the centre making sure it can't be seen when you close the card.

Add the the large triangle of dsp from the 5 1/2" square to the card front and the two side pieces to the pieces of card base that you removed. Make sure you leave a nice border all the way around the edges.  Arrange the two smaller triangles so that they cross over on the card front as in the picture (I used dimensionals for the bottom one and then glued the second one across it.

Die cut the larger swirl in gold foil and the smaller circle in basic white, then stamp the sentiment with Versamark on the white one. Sprinkle with gold embossing powder and set with the Heat Tool. Add the white one to the gold foil with a dimensionals and add the foil one to the card with adhesive.

Such a pretty card and much easier than I anticipated, why don't you have a go?
