Simply Elegant Tasteful Touches Fun Fold Card

 Hi Everyone,

Today I have been playing with the very beautiful Simply Elegant designer series paper and made a simple fun fold card using the Tasteful Touches stamp set.  This dsp is full of gold and silver and copper tones with lots of black and grey, very elegant as the name suggests. Let me show you how I made it.

Materials

1 piece of basic grey card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4", 1 piece 2 1/2" x 3 1/2"
1 piece of basic white card 4" x 5 3/4" and a scrap for the sentiment
1 piece of gold foil card 3" x 5 3/4", 1 piece 1 1/2" x 5 3/4", 1 piece 2 3/8" x 2 7/8"
1 piece of dsp 2 7/8" x 5 5/8", 1 piece 1 1/4" x 5 5/8"
Tasteful Touches stamp set
Basic grey ink
Tasteful Labels dies
Stampin Cut and Emboss machine
Trimmer
Simply Scored
Bone folder
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals
Matte black dots

Instructions

On the long side, score the basic grey card at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish, then trim off 1" from the front section.

Score the smaller piece of basic grey at 1/2" on the short side and fold and burnish.  Adhere to the back section on the card with the fold butted up to the edge of the card and as central up and down as you can (see picture).

Add the basic white layer to the inside of the card over the top of the tab to hide it.

Add the dsp layers to the gold foil mat layers and add the larger one to the card front and the smaller one to the inside of the card to the right so that it shows as a contrast to the other dsp when the card is closed (see picture).

Add gold foil to the flap leaving a border all around the edges.

Stamp the sentiment on the basic white and then die cut using the Tasteful Labels dies.  Add to the flap using dimensionals and add a couple of matte black dots.

There you are a quick and easy fun fold card, I hope that you will give it a try.

  1. Evening Karen. Would you please show further photos of this lovely card as I am not understanding where the smaller piece of CS butts onto. Yes, beginner stamper. Thank you. Mal, Melbourne, Australia

    1. Hi, I can’t do any more photos as I’ve posted this card out to a friend. All I meant is that you fold the tab and add glue and then lay the tab on the inside of the card and have the fold of the tab level with the edge of the card. Then when you add the inside decorated piece, it covers it up so you can’t see it. Does that make sense?
