Hi Everyone,
For this weeks Share it on a Sunday, we are using the 'Masking' technique and I have chosen to use an old favourite, the Tasteful Touches stamp set with the new In Colours. Let me show you how I made this pretty card.
Materials
1 piece of thick basic white card 4 1/8" x 11 3/4"
1 piece of basic white 3 7/8" x 5 5/8" and a scrap for the sentiment
Tasteful Touches stamp set
Art Gallery stamp set
Stampin Cut and Emboss machine
Stitched So Sweetly dies
1 piece of Fresh Freesia in colour dsp 3 7/8"x 5 5/8"
2021-2023 In Colour jewels
Fresh Freesia ink
Soft Succulent ink
Trimmer
Simply scored
Bone folder
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals
Post it note pad for the masking
Paper snips
Instructions
On the long side, score the thick white card at 5 7/8" and fold and burnish to make a tent fold card.
Adhere the dsp to the card front.
Stamp a flower on several post it notes and cut them out to use as masks, I made 4.
On the piece of basic white card, start by stamping a flower at the bottom in the centre with the piece in the portrait layout. Then lay a post it mask over the image and stamp again. Lay a mask on top of that one as well and stamp again. Repeat all the way up the card, just in the centre.
Now mask off all the flowers and start to stamp the leaves so that they peek out from behind the flowers on either side. You may have to move your masks and reposition them if you don't have enough.
Now, using the largest of the rectangles from the die set, choose part of the image to cut out. Stamp the sentiment on a scrap of white card and die cut using the smallest rectangle.
Add the die cut image to the centre, top of the card front using dimensionals and then add the sentiment centrally underneath.
Stamp a flower on the inside of the card and sprinkle some of the in colour jewels about and it's done.
