Pansy Petals Crossover Card

 Hi Everyone,

Today I have made a Crossover Card using the gorgeous new Pansy Petals designer series paper.  I saw Fellow Demonstrator Rachel Tessman (Stamp Your Art Out) make one of these recently but I have tweaked the measurements for our UK A4 card stock. There is a video tutorial over on my YouTube channel, click on the link below to watch it.

My video tutorial

Instructions

On the long side, trim the A4 card stock down to 11 1/2", then turn to the short side and cut in half at 4 1/8".  Score both pieces on the long side at 5 3/4" but don't fold and burnish yet.

Put the two pieces together so that the score lines are together and then cut diagonally on the trimmer from the centre score line to the bottom corner to make the card base.

Fold and burnish the two pieces, one will fold  from the left and one from the right and when you fit them one inside the other, the fronts cross over (see picture at the top).

Put the dsp in the trimmer and cut diagonally from corner to corner, top left to bottom right making sure that flowers and/or pattern are the right way up.

Adhere the two rectangular pieces together so that one sits inside the other, make sure they butt up exactly on all four sides.

Now adhere the dsp triangles to the front of the two cross over pieces, leaving a small border all around the edges.

Add tear n tape to the inside bottom of the two diagonal flaps and remove the backing tape. Fold the one from the right first and secure along the bottom of the back panel and then fold the other one over the top and secure in the same way.  This forms the cross over pocket.

Die cut the rectangles and either fussy cut the flowers and leaves or die cut them as you prefer.

Stamp the sentiment to the left hand side of the very vanilla mat in evening evergreen and then adhere it to the evening evergreen mat layer.  Stamp an additional sentiment to the bottom of the very vanilla inside piece and add a flower using the pale papaya. Make sure that it wont be seen when this piece is inside the pocket so will be a surprise when the recipient pulls out the inside layer.

Add the sentiment mat to the card front with dimensionals, then arrange the flowers to the right hand side of the mat as you wish. After the video, I decided to add some of the new In Colour Jewels to add a little bit of bling.

I do hope you like this card and will give it a try.
