Pansy Petals Swap Card

 Hi Everyone,

I made these cards for a swap that I took part in with fellow UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrators to showcase products from the new Annual Catalogue 2021-2022.  I chose to use the Pansy Petals Suite because it's my favourite (so far, that's sure to change on a weekly basis!) and I have used several of the patterns from the designer series papers and all of the new In-Colours - Polished Pink, Pale Papaya, Fresh Freesia, Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen.

Materials

(For each card)

1 piece of In-Colour card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4" for the card base
1 piece of basic white 3 7/8" x 5 5/8" for the inside
Scrap of basic white approx 3" x 4" for the rectangular label and scraps for stamping
Scraps of evening evergreen and soft succulent for the leaves
1 piece of dsp 3 7/8" x 5 5/8" and 1 piece 1/2" x 3 7/8" for the inside
Stitched So Sweetly dies
Stampin Cut and Emboss machine
Pansy dies
Pansy Patch stamp set
2021-2023 In Colour Jewels
2021-2023 In Colour inks
Trimmer
Simply scored
Boned folder
Multipurpose adhesive
Dimensionals

In addition:

Pumpkin pie ink
Mint macaron ink
Flirty Flamingo ink
Blushing bride ink
Soft sea foam ink

Instructions

On the long side, score the card stock at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make the card base.

Adhere the dsp layer to the card front and add the strip to the bottom of the basic white layer which is going on the inside and adhere this layer in place.

Stamp the floral images in whatever two colours you like, I have used the darker colour for the contrast image which goes over the more solid image and also for the small highlight image in the centre.  These layers are easy to line up, just hover over the top until it looks right and go for it.

Die cut the stamped flowers and the leaves (directly from the dsp  or the card stock). Die cut the largest of the stitched scalloped rectangles in basic white at the same time.

Stamp the sentiment in the centre, bottom of the rectangle and then arrange the flower and leaves above it using a mixture of adhesive and dimensionals.

Add a matching jewel to the centre of the flowers and also to the end of the stamped text.

Add dimensionals to the back and arrange on the card front.

I hope that you like my card and will give it a try.
