Triple Layer Stamping - Floral Essence Card

Hi Everyone,

I've made this card for a challenge to make a card using the triple layer technique in a Facebook Group that I belong to.  Its not a technique I do often but I do like it so I'm going to show you how to do it.

Materials

1 piece of card stock 11 3/4" x 6" (I've used night of navy) for the card base
Layers - Night of navy - 1 piece 4" square, 1 piece 2 1/2" square
Layers - Whisper white - 1 piece 5 5/8" square, 1 piece 3 7/8" square and 1 piece 2 3/8" square, 1 piece 5 5/8" square for the inside of the card
Scraps of night of navy and silver foil for the flower
Night of navy ink
Daffodil delight ink
Old olive ink
Flat back pearl (my stash)
Floral essence stamp set
Dandelion Wishes stamp set
Perennial flower punch
Leaf punch
Trimmer
Dimensionals
Washi tape/low tack tape
Multipurpose adhesive
Post it notes (for masking)

Instructions

Score the card base at 5 7/8" and fold and burnish.

Put the three layers of whisper white card on top of each other, centring each one and keep in place with some washi tape or low tack tape.

Stamp a flower and a set of leaves on to a post it note and cut round them, these can be used to mask images so that you can stamp at the side of them. I've used one for the flowers so that I can add the leaves and they look like they are popping out from underneath the flower head.  Stamp your design over the three layers of card making sure that there is something stamped on each layer and that it flows over into another one.  make sure you also stamp some images going off the page too, it looks better.

I've stamped a sentiment on the smallest piece in the centre of the card.

When you have finished your design, carefully peel the layers away from each other and then glue each layer to its night of navy mat leaving a small border all the way around. Then layer up the mats on the card front using dimensionals.  You should be able to see where they should go from the images, take your time to line them up, its worth the effort.

Stamp two flowers on the scrap of night of navy and glue them together to make a flower, use a bone folder to bend the petals and give it some dimension.  Punch out two sets of leaves with the leaf punch and adhere them to the back of the flower on a dimensional and then add the flower to the card front.  I've added a large flat back pearl to my flower which is from my stash.

I hope that you like this card and will give it a try.
